Calico Wallpaper Introduces Lyric
A Bespoke Wallpaper Collection Shaped by a Fusion of Natural & Architectural Forms
New York, NY (September 13, 2023) — Calico Wallpaper is pleased to present Lyric, a new collection that draws inspiration from serene coastal towns. Designed in-house by Rachel Cope, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Calico Wallpaper, Lyric celebrates the sculpted shapes of clustered homes and the meandering streets that meld into mountain sides, all taking on a singular collective architecture.
Cope explores two perspectives at once through Lyric’s pattern, capturing the assemblage of forms seen from the sea, as well as, the glimpses of the endless blue horizon from the land. The design illustrates the interaction between these fluid architectural shapes and the crisp angles cast by the sun, creating ever-changing motifs that are at once geometric and random.

Lyric is available in seven colorways, Arcade, Archway, Atrium, Cupula, Dome, Doric, and Stoa, each meant to evoke a unique formation. As with all Calico Wallpaper collections, Lyric was born from original artwork. The Calico Wallpaper team employs advanced technologies to translate its designs into custom-fit murals that are tailored to a client’s project and space. ABOUT CALICO WALLPAPER
Calico Wallpaper is a designer of bespoke wallpaper. The company was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2013 by creative and life-partners Nicholas and Rachel Cope. Their process combines artisanal methods from the decorative arts, such as traditional marbling and dip-dyeing techniques, with innovative technologies. Calico Wallpaper works with a global roster of leading designers and architects.
