A Bespoke Wallpaper Collection Inspired by the Prismatic Landscapes of Paul Cézanne
New York, NY (June 2023) — Calico Wallpaper is pleased to present Kaleidoscope, a new collection that captures an illusive landscape, inspired by the drawings and watercolors of Paul Cézanne, one of the most influential artists in the history of modern painting, whose prismatic topography resembles the complex patterns that occur when looking through a kaleidoscope.
Kaleidoscope combines loose, evocative lines with expansive washes, creating an abstract patchwork of color across the wall. Touches of vibrant hues along with sweeping brushstrokes give the design a diaphanous quality – with hints of light and color resulting in a sense of perpetual motion.

ABOUT CALICO WALLPAPER
Calico Wallpaper is a designer of bespoke wallpaper. The company was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2013 by creative and life-partners Nicholas and Rachel Cope. Their process combines artisanal methods from the decorative arts, such as traditional marbling and dip-dyeing techniques, with innovative technologies. Calico Wallpaper works with a global roster of leading designers and architects.
